As an Ideal Credit Union member, you can perform everyday transactions at more than 5,000 credit unions nationwide through the CO-OP Shared Branching Network. From cashing checks to transferring funds, Shared Branching gives you flexibility and convenience—at no extra cost.

Available services include:

Deposits and withdrawals
Transfers between accounts
Loan payments
Check cashing and more

How to Use Shared Branching

To complete a transaction at a shared branch, bring both your Ideal CU member number and a valid government-issued photo ID.

Let the teller know you're using Shared Branching at the start of your visit.

Enhanced security with IDCheck

Shared Branch transactions are now easier and more secure. With IDCheck, you can verify your identity using a QR code and one-time passcode. This multi-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection for services like deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.

Here’s how it works:

Scan the QR code in the branch or visit verify.coop.org
Select Ideal Credit Union from the list
Enter your member number and last four digits of your Social Security number
Upload a photo of your ID and take a selfie
Show your one-time passcode to the teller, which is valid for 20 minutes
