Ideal CU Named ‘Best Credit Union in East Metro’ 2nd Year in a Row

(Woodbury, MN – May 2, 2018) – Ideal Credit Union has been named “Best Credit Union in the East Metro” for the second year in a row by readers of the Stillwater Gazette newspaper. Ideal became the first credit union to operate in the community in its 164 years of existence when its Stillwater branch opened for business in December of 2016. Ideal has had a strong presence in the east metro for 92 years.

Ideal CU Gives Away $9K at 6 Day Community Appreciation Event

(Woodbury, MN – August 25, 2017) – Ideal Credit Union celebrated its 4th Annual Community Appreciation week by giving away $1,000 a day to one lucky grand prize winner over the course of the 6 branch, 6 day event, and another $3,000 total to 6 local community food shelves that reside within Ideal’s 6 branch locations. To better accommodate busy schedules, Ideal added evening hours at its two newest branches, and a Saturday celebration in Woodbury. Attendees enjoyed over 2,200 hot dogs, fun and a chance to give back to our local communities.

Ideal Community Foundation Named 2016 ‘Nonprofit of the Year’ by Woodbury Chamber of Commerce

The award was presented at the Chamber’s annual Community Awards Celebration on January 27, 2017. Ideal CU Community Foundation Seventh Annual Golf Tournament Sets New Record for Funds Raised

(Woodbury, MN – October 18, 2016) A strong showing of support enabled the Ideal CU Community Foundation to raise a record $23,291 at its seventh annual golf tournament on September 12, 2016, which is over a 25% increase from the previous year. The event, held at StoneRidge Golf Course in Stillwater, attracted 110 golfers and 46 sponsors. The foundation will use the funds to aid local education, food shelf and community initiatives.
