(Woodbury, MN – April 16, 2020) Ian Walker has joined Ideal Credit Union as Branch Manager for the credit union’s North St. Paul branch. Walker has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 3 years in management. Prior to joining Ideal, he worked as a Branch Manager for Royal Credit Union.

(Woodbury, MN – April 7, 2020) – Ideal Credit Union has been named “Best Credit Union in the East Metro” for the fourth consecutive year by readers of the Stillwater Gazette newspaper. Ideal became the first credit union to operate in the community in its 166 years of existence when its Stillwater branch opened for business in December of 2016. Ideal has had a strong presence in the east metro for 94 years.

(Woodbury, MN – March 9, 2020) Ideal Credit Union has announced the promotion of Holden Todd to Branch Operations Specialist. In his new role, Todd will serve as the primary contact for Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) needs at the credit union. He started his career in 2015 as an Ideal CU Student Credit Union employee while in his junior year at Tartan High School in Oakdale, MN and has 5 years of experience in financial services.

(Woodbury, MN – February 26, 2020) Ideal Credit Union is proud to announce that Ideal CU member Jared Kula of New Hope, MN, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, has won a $1,000 scholarship from the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Council (FSC). A total of $12,000 was recently awarded to 10 credit union members in Minnesota. Scholarships were given out to students in two categories: Traditional and Non-Traditional. Ideal Credit Union has been a long-time supporter of the FSC Scholarship program.
