(Woodbury, MN – May 27, 2020) – Ideal Credit Union and President/CEO Brian Sherrick recently accepted a #CUs4U Challenge to give back to essential workers and support our local community. The idea for #CUs4C was started by Dave Boden at Hiway Federal CU, who challenged other Minnesota Credit Union CEOs to step up and show our appreciation to essential workers on the frontlines of this pandemic. “Credit unions have a history of going above and beyond in times of need and this challenge gives us an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those everyday heroes who are going above and beyond for all of us,” Sherrick stated.

(Woodbury, MN – May 19, 2020) – Hoping to raise spirits and spread a little joy, Ideal Credit Union’s Wellbeing Champions Committee launched a four-week “Make it an Ideal Day” Positivity Challenge to help people remain positive in these uncertain times, and encourage employees and members to focus on something positive that happened in their day – each and every day. As part of the positivity challenge, participants receive a “Make it an Ideal Day” bracelet to wear as a reminder to stay positive throughout the day and look for the silver lining.

(Woodbury, MN – May 15, 2020) – Ideal Credit Union held its 94th Annual Meeting virtually via webinar on April 28, 2020, attracting a record attendance of 448 members and guests, who participated from the safety of their homes. Ideal CU has offered a remote option to attend its Annual Meeting since 2016, and was one of the first in the state to embrace a virtual format. With the coronavirus pandemic changing the way we all work and live, the transition to an all-virtual meeting was essential, and Ideal was well prepared to make the move.

(Woodbury, MN – May 4, 2020) Rachael Jones has been promoted to Branch Manager of Ideal Credit Union’s Hugo office. Jones will coordinate branch operations and take an active role in the Hugo community. Prior to her promotion, she served as a Member Service Representative at the credit union’s Woodbury office.
