Ideal CU Community Foundation Raises $25.5K to Support Local Initiatives

(Woodbury, MN – October 6, 2017) A strong showing of support enabled the Ideal CU Community Foundation to raise $25,560 at its 8th annual golf tournament on September 11, 2017, which is an increase of $2,300 from the previous year. The event, held at StoneRidge Golf Course in Stillwater, attracted 103 golfers and 36 sponsors. The foundation will use the funds to aid local education, food shelf and community initiatives.

Ideal CU Holds Ribbon Cutting at ‘Historic’ Stillwater Branch

(Woodbury, MN – September 21, 2017) – Ideal Credit Union held a ribbon cutting ceremony at its ‘historic’ Stillwater branch in August, marking the official grand opening of the city’s first and only credit union. The morning began with a flag raising ceremony conducted by Boy Scout Troop #114 of Stillwater, who led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. Bag piper Cindy Lendt played “God Bless America” and Kate Boehlke sang the National Anthem. A ribbon cutting followed, led by members of the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, Ideal CU Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee members, and executive and branch staff.

Ideal CU Wins Prestigious Dora Maxwell Community Service Award

(Woodbury, MN – September 14, 2017) Ideal Credit Union has been honored with a 2017 Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award for its involvement in the MN Brain Tumor 5K. The award, sponsored by the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), recognizes credit unions for the activities they coordinate that benefit the communities they serve and/or specific charities.

Ideal CU Gives Away $9K at 6 Day Community Appreciation Event

(Woodbury, MN – August 25, 2017) – Ideal Credit Union celebrated its 4th Annual Community Appreciation week by giving away $1,000 a day to one lucky grand prize winner over the course of the 6 branch, 6 day event, and another $3,000 total to 6 local community food shelves that reside within Ideal’s 6 branch locations. To better accommodate busy schedules, Ideal added evening hours at its two newest branches, and a Saturday celebration in Woodbury. Attendees enjoyed over 2,200 hot dogs, fun and a chance to give back to our local communities.
