Cindy has worked in the Marketing department at Ideal CU since 1995. She worked as a broadcast and print journalist prior to pursuing a career in public relations and marketing. Cindy has a passion for wine, painting, politics and Peyton Manning. She enjoys blogging about wine and visiting local wineries, power walking and watching Netflix. Cindy is a member of the Minnesota Grape Growers Association (MGGA) and a strong advocate for cold climate wines produced in Minnesota and the upper midwest. She recently earned a WSET Level 1 Award in Wines.

Paper Chains

I don’t often use the paper cutter at work anymore. On the rare occasion I do, I think about my Grandma Lucy and the times she worked as a substitute teacher at my grade school. You see, when Gram was filling in, I could lead the class in an art project of my choosing. Most of the time it involved cutting strips of colored paper to make paper chains. I remember the collective groans of my classmates when it was clear our regular studies would be replaced with yet another meaningless art adventure, but I loved it!

Ideal President/CEO Brian Sherrick Named to Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis’ Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council

Sherrick will serve a three-year term on the 13-member council, which acts in an advisory capacity not only to the Minneapolis Bank, but also the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.

Ideal CU Promotes Faith Tholkes to VP of Mortgage Services

She joined the mortgage department in 1998, where she quickly learned the real estate market and became committed to ensuring the credit union philosophy was upheld and sound mortgages were provided. She was promoted to Director of Mortgage Sales in 2013.

Ideal CU Breaks Ground on New Inver Grove Heights Location

(Woodbury, MN – September 23, 2015) – Ideal Credit Union held a ceremonial groundbreaking for its new Inver Grove Heights location on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. The ceremony took place at the site of the new office at 7791 Amana Trail, in the Argenta Hills development. Argenta Hills is a planned community consisting of 140 single family homes and over 370,000 square feet of retail space, located at the intersections of Highway 55 and South Robert Trail in Inver Grove Heights.

Ideal CU Community Appreciation Event Another Huge Success

World Champions – now what?

World Champions – now what?

My Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl on February 7. I have been a diehard Broncos fan since they signed Peyton Manning back in 2012. I have a wealth of orange and blue Broncos collateral throughout my house, including a Peyton Manning shrine in the middle of my living room. You might say I bleed orange during football season and everyone within earshot knows if they are having a good game or have had better days.
